Reem Psychotherapy & Counselling

Frequently asked Questions

Trust is an important part of the therapeutic journey. Your identity and the content of your sessions is kept strictly confidential, except for the purposes of supervision of my clinical practice. It is a requirement for NCPS registration that all counsellors and psychotherapists have regular supervision in order to maintain best standards of practice. The contents of sessions will remain confidential, except when you tell me of your intent to act on thoughts of significant self-harm to yourself or to others, but I would speak to you first.

At the initial consultation, we will agree to meet once a week for 50-minute sessions at a specific time. I always recommend clients to have regular weekly session, as this allows us to develop a strong therapeutic relationship. I am also aware that it may not always be possible to have weekly sessions and I am happy to be flexible to meet your needs around your availability.

This is a hard question to answer and depends on a client’s presenting circumstances.

Reaching out for counselling and psychotherapy isn’t easy to do, especially if you haven’t gone to therapy before, so clients are always free to ask me any questions – either through email or over the phone – prior to making a commitment to further sessions. This is a no-obligation chat, free of charge. You are welcome to ask anything that comes to mind so you can better understand the process and make an informed decision about possibly moving forward with therapy.

One time payment of ÂŁ60 for initial consultation session
One-to-one therapy sessions: ÂŁ50 (via Zoom video Call or Telephone).
